Here's a group that often doesn't get enough credit: Back-up dancers. I'm guessing at
least 27% you opted not to go into professional back-up dancing because you knew, once you failed to win the role of Clara in your community ballet troupe's Nutcracker, that you'd be forever dancing in the shadows. Yes, I know, it had nothing to do with talent. But what if being a back-up dancer meant fame and fortune, would you have followed your dream? Just imagine: Had you settled for less, you could have been on Solid Gold, or in a Janet Jackson video, or Madonna's toy boy! Oh well. If wishes were horses...
